Emerald Empire Gun Club is a private, member-governed organization. Membership provides range access, voting rights, and the opportunity to volunteer and reduce dues through service.
Benefits of Membership
Non-members must pay a range fee each time they come to the Public Range. As an EEGC member, you may use the Public Range, plus five other ranges Tuesday–Sunday:
- Two pistol and rifle ranges
- Shotgun range
- 200 yard rifle range
- Archery range
Every Monday we are closed to shooting so volunteer members can maintain the entire range. Member range use is also limited at times by classes, competitions, and some holidays. See our calendar.
Joining EEGC
If you are interested in becoming a member, you must preregister for an Orientation Class. Classes are usually scheduled once a month. For the exact day and time and/or to register, contact eegcinformation@gmail.com.
During orientation we process applications, review the joining process, club rules and safety procedures, member responsibilities, and answer questions. All persons must use hearing and eye protection. During inclement weather, bring an umbrella or rain coat. Directions are on the Directions to the Range page.
Membership Dues
The EEGC membership year runs from June 1 through May 31. Family membership includes a spouse or domestic partner, and children and stepchildren under 18 residing full or part time in the same household. Annual dues are $240 and are prorated when joining after June 1st. The dues cover all qualifying family members.
Members and family can reduce, or even eliminate, their dues for the following year by volunteering their time to support the club. If you perform 60 or more volunteer hours, you will owe no dues for the following year.
Member Volunteers
The operation and maintenance of our EEGC range relies solely on volunteer hours provided by the membership. Volunteer opportunities include serving as a Range Master on the Public Range, maintenance and work projects, and administrative and committee work.
Volunteering is more than a way to reduce dues—it’s how members help shape the club, support safe shooting sports, and invest in a range they’re proud to use and share.
